MUSCAT: Total capital of investment and real estate funds in the Sultanate of Oman rose by 89.9 per cent during 2025 to reach nearly RO 1.2 billion, according to figures released by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), reflecting expanding activity in the sector and its growing appeal to investors.

Investment funds accounted for the majority of the increase, with capital more than doubling to RO 993.8 million by end-2025, up 125.4 per cent from RO 440.8 million a year earlier, FSA data showed.

Real estate investment funds recorded more moderate growth of 7.4 per cent, with capital rising to RO 204 million from RO 190 million in 2024.

The FSA said the strong performance highlights the widening scope of the funds sector and reinforces its attractiveness as an investment channel within Oman’s capital market.

The growth comes amid broader momentum in Oman’s capital markets, with the Muscat Stock Exchange pursuing emerging market classification and a series of high-profile listings deepening market liquidity in line with Oman Vision 2040 objectives.
